The Halloween Door Dash will begin at the First Church of Christ Parking lot  (480 N. Fairview) where a Fairview Gardens staff member will greet and guide your group on how to start your trick or treating.

Follow along a one way, safely spaced, trail of stand-alone doors that line the main path of the farm. Knock on the sanitized door to trick.. Or.. treat…

Behind each door will be a team of enthusiastic volunteers to greet your tick or treaters. Receive a Halloween hand out and continue onto the next door along the path.

Staff will be placed along the path to help keep safe space from the group ahead and behind you.

 This is a free community event. Donations made to the farm are greatly appreciated.

After you finish the trail of doors, walk down to our community farm stand to enjoy halloween decor and a costume contest at our photo booth!

Contest Rules:

-The Contest is open to all ages, humans and pets!

-To enter, come dressed in your costume and take a picture at our farm stand photo booth. A sign up sheet will be displayed by the Photo Booth for those that would like to partake in the contest!

-Winners will be selected the next day and contacted for their local prize bundles!

Note: All pets must be supervised and remain on a leash for the entirety of the your time on the farm. We ask that you please pick up after your animals as well.

Can't make the event? Join in on the fun at home! We're hosting a Virtual Pumpkin Carving Contest leading up to halloween. Carve, decorate or paint your most creative pumpkins and tag us on instagram (@fairviewgardensfarm) with the hashtag #FVGPUMPKINS for a chance to win an epic local prize bundle!

General Guidelines

• Masks are required to be worn on the farm for everyone over the age of 3 years old. Be creative and incorporate them into your costume!
• Families or groups entering the farm are limited to 6 persons.
• Trick or Treating bags will not be provided, please make sure to bring along a basket or bag to collect halloween hand outs!
• All participants are required to answer a series of pre-screening questions and a temperature check before entering the farm.
• Participants must keep a 6 ft distance between groups at all times.
• The trail of doors is a one way only, for safety, please follow the guided markers and natural flow of the path.

Prior to your Arrival

• If you or a member of your family are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, or has been exposed to someone who is sick, please stay home.
• Talk with your children about what will be expected of them by event staff in relationship to COVID-19, especially the importance of social distancing and staying with an adult at all times.
• Encourage your child(ren) to pick one candy and stick with it. Please do not touch multiple handouts. If possible, bring your own tongs or a grabber with you to pick up handouts.

Upon Arrival

• Upon entering the parking lot you will be greeted by our Staff team! They will take your name and number and direct you to your parking space. Please, remain in your vehicle until you have been notified by a farm staff  that it's your turn to check in. *Note: Staff will specify if there is a wait time or not, once you arrive.
• Once you have been notified, you may exit your car with your group of 6 to our check-in table at the entrance to the farm. There you will proceed with our Covid-19 pre-screening questions and temperature checks.
• A staff will direct you to the trail of doors where you can begin your trick or treating!

During the Trail of Doors

• There will be safety reminders and stations throughout the farm encouraging hand sanitizing and healthy practices.
• Knock or say "trick or treat!" to engage with the doors!
• Once you are done collecting our treat, you can move along to the next available door!
• If the group ahead of you is still engaged with your next door, we ask that you please wait until they have moved on before walking over.
• Groups must remain together throughout the entire walk, making sure to keep a 6ft space between the group ahead of behind you.
• Remain on the designated pathways throughout the farm.
• Participants under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Wrapping Up

• The trail of doors will end at our community farm stand. There a staff will guide you to our costume contest photo booth or back to your car.
• Please do not retrace your steps back to your car. To exit the farm, we ask that you "close the loop." Staff will guide you to walk along the sidewalk on Fairview Ave so that you enter back into the church parking lot from the street.

• Day of Volunteers: We are looking for responsible community members that can help us keep this halloween as safe and fun as possible. Hours range from 11:00am-8:00pm.
• Clean up Crew: After a day of serving the community, our team is looking for extra helping hands to clean up alongside us from the event.

*Note: All volunteers will go through a Covid-19 pre-screening process before arriving to the farm.
